Indizel , a renewable fuel that saves costs
Date: 13 Aug 2014
India
consumes roughly around 24.5 crore litre diesel on a single day, according to a
data published by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell. Thus, on an average
every month, the consumption stands at approximately 760 crore litres. India is
also the fourth largest consumer and importer of crude oil of which diesel
accounts for almost 44pc alone.
In
line with its commitment to make India energy independent, My Eco Energy (MEE)
has developed renewable diesel by the name of Indizel. The company has launched
its first Indizel fuel station in Lonikand, Pune. This Indizel bio diesel from
MEE’s Lonikand pump will cater to people in Mumbai, Pune and Nashik.
Indizel
is a clean burning bio-fuel from My Eco Energy, which is a complete alternative
to conventional petrol-diesel. It is seamlessly interchangeable with petroleum
diesel without any engine modifications and there are no limitations on
blending unlike the other bio-fuels. It can be used to power various commercial
diesel vehicular mediums like cars, buses, trucks, trains, bulldozers, ships
and agricultural tractors along with other machinery like electricity
generators, industrial boilers and furnaces, said a statement from the company.
Announcing
the launch of Indizel, Santosh Verma, Director, My Eco Energy said that his
company is planning to to expand the network of bio-diesel retailers and
distributors across Maharashtra in the near future. Later the company plans to
expand the network across the country and also to empower rural India, he
added. “This bio-diesel from MEE mostly uses locally produced used edible oil
and it is biodegradable and non-toxic,” he noted.
